Mark Swindells' imaginative design, realised by the construction company, Bluestone, has won several significant awards including:

• The George Larkin Prize for the Best New Building in Derby
• Ibstock-RIBA Award for Architectural Excellence in the East Midlands
• Bronze 'Green Apple' National Award for Environmental Best Practice
